Why Should You Try A Cruise in the Nile
Being a keen traveller, Ive visited so many different places and have experienced incredible moments that just the travelling experience can provide. Ive had the chance to admire many of natures beauties that some times made me wonder whether they were real or not. From the mighty Iguacu Waterfalls in the borders of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguy to the breath taking site of Machu Pichu and from the solitude of Sahara to the deep blue of the Aegean Sea my eyes have seen so much and my senses have experienced even more.
When it comes to choosing one of all those moments, I would definitely recall my time in the river Nile as the most electrifying one. it is impossible to put into words all those emotions and that great energy of the powerful river that used to be as sacred as the Sun. Until that day I wasnt keen on river cruises as they didnt seem fun to me.
Until that day, I had never seen so much beauty anywhere else than into the sea, with the Mediterranean being my favourite one. Rivers were not really appealing to me although Ive lived in cities crossed by great rivers such as the Danube and the Amazon.
So, it was during the time I was in Egypt when a good friend of mine came across various cruise offers and managed to make inhibitions go away and try one. As he said, you may have only one chance in life for some experiences which was enough to make me give in. There were so many tour operators selling Nile River Cruises at Aswan that buying one didnt take us more than 10-15 minutes.
The hours we spent in the Nile were just unforgettable. Because of its proximity to the Mediterranean Sea there is a similar atmosphere. Thinking that it is the longest river in the world makes one realise how vital it is for that huge arid piece of land that goes all the way down into Ethiopia and Uganda. So intense was the experience I had that it makes no wonder why ancient Egyptians worship had the Nile at its center.
